Open Letter To Barry.

Dear Barry,
Thank you for providing fresh news and deep insights every day.
I'd like to ask you one thing regarding this article.
http://searchengineland.com/google-leave-your-authorship-markup-on-your-page-232090
"Gary said that you never know when the Google search team may want to start using it again. Yes, that is a head scratcher response."
I wonder why you waste your time scratching your head.
I consider this is the same attitude John Mueller and other Google spokesperson told.
You tell "John Mueller from Google told webmasters it was safe to remove the authorship markup from their sites.",
but I consider there might be misunderstanding, as long as I have observed what Googlers have told.
John has been just telling that removing or keeping author markup is up to webmasters CURRENTLY:
i.e. 08/29/2014 Authorship removal announcement
-"+Barry Schwartz no, we're no longer using it for authorship, we treat it like any other markup on your pages. Leaving it is fine, it won't cause problems (and perhaps your users appreciate being able to find out more about you through your profile too). "
-"+Garry Grant We ignore it - you don't need to keep it from our point of view. You're welcome to keep it for users or other purposes, it won't cause problems on our side, but it also doesn't do anything on our side."

And he also have told that the decision can be changed someday:
i.e. 12/05/2014 Office Hour hangout
-"Question:
Does Google assign value to content depending on the author's identity? Depending on the answer there, is there an alternative markup to connect an author to content?"
John's Answer:
At the moment, we don't use Authorship markup at all...I could imagine that maybe at some point, that'll change. "

As long as I remember, John answered "You can remove author markup" in some Office Hour hangout, but with important notion like this:
"You can remove it if you want and it doesn't affect google. But I consider you don't have to remove it and since it can be helpful for some other purposes, and someday Google can use it in other ways."
Sorry I couldn't remember the source, but it matches what John has told in other sources.
I'm glad if you read this, as John is a nice guy as you know.
Best Regards,
Eishirou Uchida
